Hey, I’m Dayna!

I’ve been working with dogs for the last 9 years. I started out as a kennel technician for a local training business where I was able to get tons of hands-on experience with boarding and training dogs and shadowing experienced trainers. I have been professionally taking on clients and training dogs for the last seven years.

I am originally from San Diego and moved out here for school in 2008. I have a bachelors degree in psychology from Westminster College as well as a Masters degree in Sports Psychology from the University of Utah. I did not intend on getting into Dog Training as a career until I got my first dog. He was a big challenge for me in managing his aggression and reactivity, as well as channeling his extreme drive and energy! I found my passion in training dogs after working with a professional trainer with him and discovering dog sports and the amazing community in Utah around working with dogs.

I currently own two German Shepherd Dogs, one border collie/poodle mix, and a Weimaraner. I love taking my dogs anywhere and everywhere with me, but our favorite things to do are dog sports and hiking in the mountains. I actively compete in a Protection sport called PSA with one of my German Shepherds, and have also competed in it with my border collie/poodle mix. We’ve also successfully participated in IGP (Schutzhund), agility, dock diving, nose work, and disc dog competitions!

My biggest accomplishment in the Dog Training world was being able to compete on the TV show America’s Top Dog with my border collie/poodle mix. We came in first in our episode, and second in the overall competition!

I’m very passionate about training dogs and love helping owners develop a better relationship with their dog, whether they need to work on basic obedience, puppy manners, advanced obedience, behavior modification, sport training, or even service dog training! I have successfully trained and placed dozens of service dogs into a variety of homes Where they are helping all sorts of people, including psychiatric assistance dogs, veterans with PTSD, mobility assistance, hearing alert dogs, medical alert dogs, and more!
